What to check on a used Tiger?
« on: March 02, 2021, 01:03:16 PM »
Hi all, new member here.  :001:

Looking to buy a 2018+ Tiger, is there anything in particular I should check on the bike?
E.g. are any parts particularly prone to corrosion / failure?

Are the factory fitted heated grips any better than aftermarket ones?
Can you retrofit a lowered heated seat?

I will be using the bike to commute from Reading to Hammersmith so want it to handle motorway cruising and lots of filtering*.

* 50 miles each way which will take about 50mins > 1hr 30mins depending on traffic

Not a lot to worry about really, the heated grips on my '18 XRt are okay but not brilliant if the bike your looking at doesn't have them then probably better to get aftermarket ones. :152:
