Condensation in the TFT screen
« on: March 02, 2021, 02:03:21 PM »
Took the Tiger out for its first run since November, over the weekend and in the sun I could see there was condensation on the inside of the TFT screen.

The bike spent the winter in my dry garage and hasn't had a jet wash near the clocks.

Obviously I tried to get in touch with Triumph yesterday, but they were closed. Got through this morning, provided some photos and they are looking to raise a warranty claim, despite that my warranty ran out yesterday!!!!!

I've searched this forum looking for other who've had this issue - Am I the only one?

Excuse the photo quality, I needed the sun to show the condensation and drips running down the inside of the screen.

That sounds like good news to me. Once the screen is replaced, hopefully I won't have another issue.

Triumph have accepted the warranty claim, so all good.

There was a guy on the Tiger 800 & 900 Riders Facebook group who had a similar problem a few weeks ago. Ive just searched back through that group and he reported that the condensation had disappeared a few days later.

Thanks for that Fazer.
The condensation has gone in mine too today, but the moisture will still be there, it's just that the temperature has changed or now.
I'll have a hunt on the FB page, cheers.

TwisyFace Ive just noticed that youre just up the road from me. Im not sure if it will work but heres link to the conversation on Facebook which was actually started by me. The bit about the condensation is in the discussion about the third reply.
