Looking test relays on 13 plate tiger 800
The relays have no numbers to identify pins and can't make head nor tsil of wiring diagram in the Manuel.
Any idea how test them with the multimeter.

They'll have the manufacturer's part number on, google for the datasheet which will include the pin-out

Blue and black ones are omron G8xxxx
they have a 100 ohm resistor across the coil internally so the ecu can see they are there. The larger connectors are  the coil, the two or three smaller ones are the contact
The blue one is a changover single pole, the black is a one way normally open single pole

If you are stuck for one or the other pm me, i have some spares.

So changed rectifier and battery as it had been fried with the
rectifier not working. I'm now not getting a charge to the battery.   According to haynes I'll need take rectifier back off and check the plug for the alternator. Does that sound like the next logical step? or would recommend something else first..

Assuming new reg/rect is good, then its either the connectors (corroded or burnt) or the alternator so check those out. Also, did you fit a genuine Triumph rectifier or a pattern part? There are a lot of fake Shindengen and poor quality pattern parts on sale so that may be suspect if alternator checks out ok.

Hi ye I'll check out see if they are good. Got a pattern one but you get years guarantee so if its bad I'll send it back.
 Here's hoping it's a easy fix
