I have the same basic one as most pictures here with a Motech bag. It does cause an annoyance trying to get the key out but it's fairly minor.  It's the City model I think and it works pretty good for miscellaneous stuff.

Only problem I run into is the cable pull to release the latch gets sticky and is a pain in the ass to pull. Not sure why that is.

Thanks for the info on the GIVI and SW Motech tank bags.  I'll have to look into supply on this side of "da' pond".  I heard from one Tiger 900 owner that said the tank bags make getting to the ignition key difficult as the bag hangs over forward from the mounting ring.  Do you guys find this to be true as well?  :084:

When you get a SW Motech bag the mounting plate on the bottom of the bag is not fitted. The owner needs to position it to suit their bike so it is likely that the mounting plate may have been mounted too far back on the base on the bag which means that the front of the bag is further forward than it needs to be.
This is where my City bag sits on my 800. No real issues with access to the key or the power socket.

That SW Motech City Bag looks the ticket.  I had a City bag on my 1050 Tiger SE and liked it but got the SW Motech Mini this time as I have the large Expedition metal panniers that are HUGE.  So a small tank bag works.  What doesnt work is getting the key in and out unless I pop the tank bag off.  I was talking with SW Motech (USA) and the recommended the Pro version so I could set the tank ring where I wanted. Sadly even set to the most forward position the bag still blocks insertion or removal of the key without popping the bag off. Turning the key on and off is fine once seated in the ignition key lock set.  Oh well, kinda of a pain but not terrible and I like the smaller size of the Mini when standing on the pegs.

Looks like they have moved the filler cap quite a bit further forward on the 900.

It's noticeably further forward, but I forgot I can pull the adapter on the city bag and move it. That might be my this afternoon project.
