Hello from Wisconsin, USA
« on: March 22, 2021, 03:11:13 PM »
Hello fellow Tiger owners!

Long time rider and part time bike mechanic, software development is my day job. Bought my Tiger 800 XRt late last year and love it. I'm one of those weirdos that actually came from BMW (truck engines) to Triumph (sweeeet). Here's a few shots of past and current rides.

Hi Steve!

I have Conti TKC 80s on it at the moment, stellar off road - not quite so on-road. They're acceptable once you get past 10kph or so, under that really bumpy - over that that a bit buzzy. Cornering traction on-road is my main beef.

I'll be looking for something a bit more street oriented since I'm around 50/50 between street and off-road. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears...

I was just curious as they looked so chunky ... no good asking me about mixed terrain tyres, I would struggle to get where your XRt is parked, :008: 100% road all the way for me (though in the past a certain SW crew has been known to take the odd 'dirty' road :005: ). So after the OEM tyres it has been Michelin PR4 and R5s pure road tyres for me.

Thank you all for the welcome!

Yeah, we live near a very large nature reserve that has, well, challenging terrain that we have to get around on. But then again we do rides all over so...

I might give the TKC 70s a shot and see. I think I need to buy a tire machine considering all of the tires I've mounted in the past year or so. Spooning them off and on is getting old.
