Bummer! As they say, its not if, but when! At least you were ready for it!

Touch wood I've only had 1 puncture. Not on the Tiger as that's got inner tubes and will be a nightmare to fix. I had a nail through my rear tyre on the last bike I owned. I used a Dynaplug and the puncture was sorted in seconds. Now I carry the Dynaplug kit in the car and used it a couple of weeks ago. Instant fix. Super easy to use and the plugs cost 3 each so nice and cheap.

A friend of mine bought an 800 XC recently and found a plug repair kit under the seat, whilst still running tubes...

Presumably the previous owner didn't get any punctures.

I had a rear puncture on my tubed 2012 XC in the dust of the Australian  outback. Used a BMW side-stand to break the bead and mustered up the worst language I could remember as I wrestled with the tyre irons in the heat and the dirt.
Limited options focussed my concentration plus a 12V compressor saved my 'rear' in that situation.
Laterally unstable unless moving.
