Help! Flashing red triangle!
« on: April 04, 2021, 06:54:55 PM »
Hello,

Just de-winterizing my Tiger 900. I had the battery out on a tender all winter. Bike started right up but there is a constant flashing red triangle with a "!" in the middle of it. The manual says it's a hazard warning indicator, but it has nothing to do with my hazard lights. Any idea what this is and how to get it to turn off??

Thanks!

Ambient air temperatures close to freezing will cause an  'icy road condition' warning to flash.
Laterally unstable unless moving.

The TPMS comes up red with an exclamation mark.

Well, the light went away after riding for a bit. Still a mystery as to why it came on or what it is. The manual is incorrect, which is unfortunate.

It was probably nothing more sinister than it registered as a fault when you reconnected the battery, particularly if done a bit slow and precise allowing a momentary splash between terminal and wire. I've had it on a couple of battery disconnect/reconnect procedures and the fault light clears pretty quickly. :028:
