Tiger 800 XRX Dash Not Straight
« on: April 06, 2021, 07:02:39 PM »
A new to me 2018 Tiger 800 XRX dash or maybe it is called a screen is not quite straight to the bike.  I looks like it tilts to the left a few degrees...maybe 5 degrees even, just enough to be noticeable.  There are no functional problems, it just looks a little odd and I tend to notice things like that.  There are no signs that it has had a good fall.  Is this common?  Can you straighten the welded on mount?

Have you tried just loosening the mounting screws and seeing if there is any slight adjustment when you tighten then back up?

already discussed elsewhere in this forum

other owners have also reported on this and the solution seems to be fitting a spacer(s)/washer(s) on the dash mountings to correct

I spent some time measuring up to try and locate this anomaly (on both Tigers I have owned) then
I took my specs off and lo and behold, the dash appeared straight.
