BASEPLATE FOR OEM TRIUMPH BACKBOX
« on: April 08, 2021, 08:22:44 PM »
Hi ALL,

I AM LOOKING TO FIT THE BASEPLATE THAT ALLOWS ME TO FIT/ RELEASE THE ORIGINAL OEM BACKBOX. MY LAST TIGER WAS STOLEN BUT I HAD THE BACKBOX IN THE GARAGE. MY REPLACEMENT HAS SIDE PANNIERS BUT ONLY A LUGGAGE RACK AT THE MOMENT ON THE BACK.

I NEED TO PURCHASE THE BASEPLATE THAT ALLOWS ME TO FIT AN OEM TRIUMPH BACKBOX. ( MONOKEY?)

AS CLOSE TO DA15 AS POSSIBLE FOR COLLECTION WOULD BE GOOD.

KIND REGARDS

Have a spare, unused rack system, only part number I can see is underneath the black plastic
section ie, P/N 2353436, the upper alloy part bears no numbers, if you pm me a contact number I'll
forward you a photo . I also have all the fittings for it.   If its the  right part, I'm just a short `ride
     out' from you

Hi Steve

Thank you for the reply. I looked up the part and it seems that this is not what i need. Maybe i have given it the wrong name in 'Baseplate'?

I need the attachment that goes onto the part that you have ( I think) that will allow a top box to attach and detach.

If you know what the part is called or any details i would be most grateful

Kind regards

Richard

If you have the Triumph top box, (the one that weighs a ton and locks with the ignition key) you are looking for the sliding carriage.
If you have a Givi Monkey top box you are looking for a Givi fitting kit and base plate.

could you post a picture of your box and then people here will know exactly what you are looking for.
