Brake and clutch lever for 800 XRX 2019
« on: April 14, 2021, 05:03:30 PM »
I had my second try of buying set of cluch and brake levers, this time from a germany company.
Great looking levers i must say....but the brake lever does not fit.
They probably fit on older models, the 2018 and ongoing models have ride by wire throttle housing, wich is wider than the non ride by wire one.

Anyone who has found and mounted levers wich do fit ??

cheers
Hans

Ride by wire started in 2015 with the 'Gen 2' Tiger.

The clutch lever and housing are the same part numbers from 2015 VIN# 674842 to date, but the brake lever and housing changed from VIN#: 855532 onwards ('Gen 3' Tigers?) and it looks like the aftermarket possibly isn't aware of this. :027:

I can thoroughly recommend Evotech levers. Fit well, look good and feel great.

Hi,

Do you have pictures, and same bike  ?  800 model 2019 ( gen 3)
When i look at the pictures on their website, the type for 2108-2020 models does not fit!  Too sharp bend, so will touch the gas throttle module too.

cheers
Hans

Ok good question. With the adjuster in position 3 (where I have it and I have small hands) if I give the lever a significant pull - full fingers -  it is a couple of mm from the throttle body. Im thinking whether I would ever pull the lever this hard and I cant imagine I would. If the lever is in position 1 or 2 it does touch the body. 1 quite easily and 2 with a reasonable pull. Position 1 is ridiculous and I cant imagine anyone using this position. I emailed Evotech before I ordered these to confirm compatibility with. Gen 3 XRT and they confirmed but I think Ill email them again for their view. I purchased the long/folding levers by the way.

Hi, thanks for your answer, so your brake lever doesn`t fit too as it should be. for small hands or just your favourite position it will block at the housing before max braking is applied.

For this reason i do not mount them on my bike. German company has not reacted yet, but the levers are TUV marked, so my next step is to file an offcial report to TUV.

See the original lever and shape and the non OEM lever. (at the same rotating point positioned)
