Arrow exhaust - model year compatibility
« on: April 17, 2021, 10:18:34 AM »
Has anyone fitted a later year Arrow can to a Gen1 Tiger 800?

A mate has been offered one for a Gen2 model but his bike is a 2011 Gen1 model. Triumph part number is A9600571 which is listed for VIN 674842 onwards, as opposed to A9600341 or A9600541 for bikes upto VIN 674841.

Just wondering what the differences are with earlier versions. Maybe it's the fixing points, can size, pipe angles or noise reduction, or no significant differences?

I don't think that there are any relevant differences I have a 2014 gen 1 Tiger 800 and it is fitted with an Arrow can the model number stamped on the can is ARROW PR2063. This can was on the bike when I purchased it. I have tried to check and the only references I can find is that the Arrow can PR2063 was sold for the Gen 2 bikes.

It does fit the gen 1 bikes without any problem or alteration I have no idea what the differences are, maybe there is something in the baffle because the can is 'e'marked as noise compliant.

If the price is right I would tell your mate to buy it!
