self cancelling indicators
« on: May 15, 2021, 01:02:53 AM »
Does anyone else's self cancelling indicators work?
I've tried several times to set them on the dash but no joy.
not a big deal but if the option is available, it would be good if it worked.

There is a sequence to follow, it's in the owner's manual. I followed the steps therein and the function works.

Phil, can you see the option to set the indicator mode in the Bike Setup menu? I seem to remember a couple of weeks that another Tiger rider posted that he couldnt even see that option in the menu.  Obviously, it would be difficult to set it up if the option is totally missing. 😂

Fazer, yea, it's there.  I read the manual and have run through the steps again. It was showing auto when i went into IND, but maybe I hadn't fully selected it previously.  I've reset it now, scrolling to manual and back to auto, then pressing the set button before scrolling back to return - as per the manual.  Will try it out over the next while, if the rain goes away.
Thanks -- Phil

Phil, Im a little confused by your reply. You should see 3 options for the indicators i.e. Auto Basic, Auto Advanced and Manual with a tick against the option that is currently selected. Personally, I prefer the Auto Basic setting.

I thought this was a good idea when I first got the 850 but neither of the automatic options worked as I wanted and I eventually decided it was safer to install a loud beeper than rely of self-cancelling.

Fazer, I think that is on the newer TFT screened models.  Mine is the LCD display with only auto and manual options.

+1 ... mine have been on auto-cancel since day 1 (1st Sept15) as set by factory or on PDI, even after 5.5yrs parked uncovered in all weather no issues. :028:
