Bike lift/table
« on: May 19, 2021, 04:37:38 PM »
Is anyone using a bike lift or table to  maintain their Tiger 900? Any recommendations?

Thank you

The guy who works on my bike has a DIY wooden one. Sturdy as hell. But it's a permanent fixture in his garage.

I invested in an ABBA Skylift , easy to use and doesn't take up much room in the garage-

I use a full length hydraulic lift when servicing my bikes but, to be honest, it was used at its lowest height when I did the 12k service on my Tiger 800 and I could equally as well have carried out the service with the bike on the floor.

Skylifts are terrible. Completely useless for jobs where you need to access both sides of the bike. If space is tight look at a Kendon lift or similar. Can be easily stored upright when not in use.

No problem with accessing both sides of the bike when it's on the skylift here.
Only a problem when wanting to do anything with swing arm removal, which isn't often.
