Sorry cant do this but I think the pics are in the album marked by sausages
Airflow goes under and over screen and creates the buffeting as it goes at different speeds the gets to top of screen and causes turbulence ( buffeting) one pic is duct tape and one pic is soft pipe insulation (just close the gap between screen and headlamp casing. Trying to make a more visually pleasing solution . Dont Laugh because it Works

You are better off spacing out the bottom mounts of the screen by 20mm (cut reinforced fuel/oil line works well) with longer 5mm screws. Achieves the same outcome minus the ugly.

I'd assumed the buffeting was only associated with the air flow over the top of the screen but will close off the bottom of the screen to see what difference this makes. It would be nice not to have the buffeting!

That will make things worse. You need the airflow up under the screen so there is no negative pressure behind the screen which is one if the causes of buffeting.
Buffeting is very individual and is often more to do with the rider and their expectations than the actual bike.
Things to try

Take the screen off completely
Fiit a wind deflector on top of the screen
Take the mirrors off or fit spaces to move them wider
Try a new helmet
See if you can adjust your riding position
