Factory aux switch cube question
« on: June 12, 2021, 07:40:24 PM »
Anyone know if there is a relay between the switch cube  for fog lights and heated grips and the lights and grips themselves?  Got power ino the switch cube  switched light up, fog light switch lights up when pressed grips flashes red when pressed but seems to be no power out to the accesories,  switch is pluged into the main harness and fuses are ok.
Am I missing a component? Do the switches only provide a supply to a relay.
No spare relay positions under the seat.

There is an unused 2 wire plug   green and black and purple next to the supply plug on LH side
Earlier version mention a relay.

2017 xrx model

Thanks.

You added a cube to a bike that didn't come with the foglights? Then yes, you need a subharness that includes a relay. The plugs for the lights will be behind the fairings, and it runs back to the usual brain box area, IIRC, but there's a missing relay and a harness to link it all together.
