Seen these on an auction website, and the companies on website.

Gimmick?

Comments?

I have no connection with this company, for the record, just curious if I need one in my life.....

Looks to me like a race bike type modification transferred to a non-existent problem on a pretty super smooth gearbox setup. I'm 99.99999% sure any missed or false neutral gear I've had, on either my Street Triple or Tiger, have been 'user error, not mechanically caused.  :027:
Also owned my 1979 Bonnie T140E from new!

We don't stop playing because we grow old .. WE GROW OLD BECAUSE WE STOP PLAYING!!!

So not completely sure then.......

For the Tiger 800 -- Useless. I have seen a bent gearshift rod once but that was on a bike with the gear shift lever connected directly to the output shaft, and the bike had been dropped on that side. Maybe one of these would have helped in that situation. But with the Tiger, the output shaft is connected to an intermediate shift arm, not to the lever.
Laterally unstable unless moving.

The Triumph twin cylinder bikes ( Street Twin, Bonneville etc.) did gain a reputation for bending selector forks even if they just fell on the left side at rest. But the remote mechanism on the Tigers is not in a vulnerable position so this does seem a bit pointless.

Apart from looking cool I'm struggling here to see how it aids in "preventing missed shifts and false neutrals"  :084:
