Hello from North Wales
« on: July 17, 2021, 11:53:22 AM »
Hi Out there ...... after owning a Sprint ST 1050 for 10.5 years, I have taken the plunge and part exd Her for a 2016 Tiger XRX. It was a difficult decision after so many happy years riding on the sprint , having put nearly 30k miles on her, but the negatives were starting to outweigh the positives, in the end, the weight, riding position, and some perceived big costs on the horizon were the deciders. I think I will miss the outright brutal punch of torque that the sprint offered but after a lengthy test ride on the Tiger, I was able to put any concerns about downgrading on power to bed.!. I am also hoping that the Tiger will allow me to improve my rising skills, as I found the sprint to be top heavy and with its poor steering lock didnt give me a lot of confidence in the bends!!!.
Hoping to be able to share my experiences on the swap, also looking forward to hearing from anyone about known issues & pitfalls with the Tiger!
