broken indicator tiger 800 2011
« on: July 22, 2021, 04:09:38 PM »
Gents, hope you can point me in the right direction of a supplier and part number

during our tour of Scotland the rubber arm(gromet?) that holds/supports the left hand indicator snapped and left me with a dangling indicator(thank god for gaffer), i can only assume the rubber degraded with uv and due to rough terrains finally gave up the ghost, any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks
George

Don't forget that the indicator stems are 'handed' - Front Left/Rear Right and Front Right/Rear Left. The original Triumph ones weren't the best quality rubber/plastic mix and they changed the formula in about 2015. Any ones you get now should be fine. I changed all of mine when the first one broke and have had no problems in 5 years.

Both of my offside indicators have broken off in the past. I just super glued them back together with a piece of plastic air hose inside for a bit of added strength. They seem to be doing fine up to now.

Triumph use the same indicator mounts as KTM and BMW so if you want an aftermarket product anything advertised as being suitable for a KTM or BMW should just mount straight to the bike. Japanese bikes have a different mount.

I bought this as I just needed the lense and screw. Identical to oem, but with a different connector. ( turns out the bits were cheaper from Triumph!)
