Tiger 900 wobbly seat

My front seat has some lateral movement in it, not enough to cause panic but enough to irritate. I mentioned it to the dealer and they say it just does and they haven’t come up with a solution. Anyone else experiencing this and has anyone got a clever solution? I reckon a couple of rubber o rings situated somewhere on the front retaining bar should make the problem go away but thought I’d check with the wise folk here first.

I should double check you have the seat on correctly. Its quite easy to not have it on properly, and then theres movement.

I suggested that it may be me to the dealer this morning. He showed me another that did exactly the same.

I have this wobble too. The tongue on the front attachment is too narrow, so the seat wobbles back and forth. In the beginning it bothered me a lot, now I hardly notice it.

I had the same problem, I realised that when refitting the seat I never pushed the locator tongue which connects to the tank home enough towards the tank. all okay now
No matter how bad your day is your BIKE will always make you feel better.

Seat needs to be fitted correctly at the front and middle points to stop movement. The more you do it the better it becomes. Its a pain initially. I've had mine back from the Dealer fitted incorrectly.

I’d just endorse all of the above. Mine needs a significant shove to make it sit properly and so much so that when I first got it I did not relocate it properly until I realised. Got the bike last July.

Yep, I'm struggling to refit mine correctly. I get the front in where i thought it was right but it obviously isn't.
Spoke to the sales guy when it went in for service. He suggests locating front and middle then give the back of the seat a whack from behind to push itforwards and up.
Yet to try it
