Well the owners handbook for my 2015 (as per Paulhers) doesn't show anything other than the 100/90 bias front. On the other hand if you download the latest 'approved tyre list' from the Triumph website there is the mention of using the 110/80R .... however there are 2 things it states.
    1. it says that 110/80 can be used 'IF THE STANDARD SIZE IS NOT AVAILABLE' which probably rarely applies and only on the 800 2011 to 2018 ...
    2. .... and that note has an Asterix indicating this alternative is also only applicable to the Pirelli Scorpion Trail and Metzeler Tourance tyres and both only in V speed rating.

If I abided by the Triumph approved tyre list (below the 100/80 comment) I would (currently) be restricted on my factory fitted 'Expedition luggage capable 2015 XRt' of only fitting those terrible Metzeler Tourance Next tyres in bias/radial format rather than the reality of me going straight from those to 110/80 radial front and having since gone via PR4's, R5's and currently Conti Trail Attack 3's. :027:

Just for info.  I rang my insurance company today to ask whether they needed notified if i fitted a non-standard size/ wider tyres than the recommended ones to my bike, and if so was there additional premium.  They told me that there was no need to notify them, they didn't regard it as a modification.
