    Help !!!

I stripped my tank etc off to change the spark plugs on my 2011 Tiger 800 ABS [road] a few weeeks ago, it sat in the garage since, I did put it on charge for a day, then I took it out today and the engine management light came on - I took tank off again and checked all the wiring I'd touched but all OK - aanyone got any ideas ???
I have ordered the connector so I can use Tigertool but it doesn't come for a few days.

When you say you 'took it out today' do you mean you took it just out of the garage and the light come with ignition and didn't go out or you rode it and after some time the light came on. :027:

Hi - yes I road it and the light came on after ? a few hundred yards - there seemed no real difference in power but when I stopped and turned off the engine it was more reluctant to start

Very common for this to happen. Most likely:
    • you've switched the ignition on while one or more connections were unplugged and the engine management light is on because of a stored fault that you can clear with Tigertool or will clear itself after a few fault-free journeys OR
    • you've forgotten to reconnect the manifold pressure sensor on the front of the airbox

Thanks - I did reconnect the sensor but I'll try a few local trips to see what happens

If no fault present then should clear after 3 full heat cycles (up to working temp and back to cold x3). I've triggered the MIL a couple of times by simply disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. The ECU can be a bit sensitive sometimes.:028:
