The German Megameet ended about 1 hour ago. I had a wonderful time and I want to express my gratitude to everyone who took part, that being
the Forum members (I am using the forum names) Stevie.P, Wullie, dan91 and Zaphod
my German helpers Stephan, Sandra and Dirk, Arno and Thomas.

Everything went very well and even the little rain shower we encountered today only lifted the spirit.

I was able to show the attendees the best parts of the area I was born and where I still live. As I leaded the tours I was not really able to take many pictures but phones were out all the time so I am sure this thread will see some pictures within the next few day.

It was a Megameet of firsts we discovered today:
1. it was smallest Megameet ever
2. it was the first Megameet ever, when at least the forum members all sat on tigers, Tiger 800s and 900s

As some of you may know I got my Tiger 900 and at first was more sad than I expected because of the loss of my 800. The last few days showed me what a fantastic bike the Tiger 900 can be and I am now sure I made the right decision when I bought it.

So what's next? A Megameet in the South-West was heard quite often the last two day. So you guys from the South-West get on with it...

Great roads, great weather (just enough rain to clean my screen), great scenery and great company.
I’m certain a route in the south west is being planned even now…

I was thinking about it a couple of years ago for a Mini- or Mega-Meet. Being based close to Torquay would be ideal for me but we did that in 2014 so I was thinking of somewhere around Tiverton, Taunton etc so we could look at basing the ride(s) around Exmoor and North Devon.

Need to split discussion out from here to a new thread, but I'm happy to take charge for next year if that's what's wanted. A good excuse for me, Stevie.P, Rozzer etc to do some recce rides over the next 12 months!
