    Done it both ways on a versys and various Tigers with a pillion.

    Scary time was car coming down opposite way when we met on the tightest hairpin.

    Found the Stelvio much harder/tighter hairpins going upwards when quite busy (camper vans) and it seemed to go on forever.

    Vowed never to do it again.  :087:

    If you enjoy riding the passes & hairpins, treat yourself to Corsica. Most fantastic roads for me. These are two of the roads on the route we took. The D81 & D84.
