Coming back to this topic. I updated my car Nuvi 770 North America 2022.29 on SD card (& UK/Ireland 2022.10 internally) mapping ok yesterday ready for hols but curious about that latest discussed Europe update for my bike Zumo 390LM and wondering what space situation other 390 owners have regarding the latest update ... zumo or zumo & SD card required.

My Zumo currently has CN Europe NTU 2022.20 All South & CN Europe NTU 2022.20 All North showing in settings as the installed maps and every unnecessary file I felt safe about deleted (vehicles, languages, etc.). In 'This PC' on my computer this shows as Zumo as only 179Mb free (in warning red) out of 7.13Gb internal memory and 14.8Gb free of the 14.8Gb on the installed SD card.
However Garmin Express shows the latest available update CN Europe 2023.10 as a 7.44Gb file .... more than the actual internal capacity of the Zumo. I realise the update will load to the SD card but wondered if this has been necessary for all 390 owners who have updated or have some managed to do it to the base device memory alone. I am reluctant to mess with deleting system files in case I screw the whole thing up and I can't see any obvious culprit, there is only the one large disc image file showing and that is only 2.7Gb.
