Used indicators?

Hey gang.
I hope you’re all enjoying the weather. It seems I lost an indicator lens (rear) and after a quick look on tinternet, I found a pair of genuine used rears for £60
I wondered if they could be relied upon or whether I should consider new (genuine or aftermarket)?

Too expensive for used ones. Beware, the early pre-2013 indicators were replaced under warranty because they broke off easily. Could be that vintage. If it was me I look for other after-market new indicators. The Triumph ones aren't anything special and collect moisture internally easily. Better ones out there for less cost.
Laterally unstable unless moving.

Just remember Triumph use the same mounting method as BMW and KTM not the Japanese mount. You need indicators that have separate locations for the wire and the bolt not ones where the wire runs through the centre of the bolt.
If you are looking at third party indicators generally look for ones advertised as BMW ones.
You can modify the other ones to work if you want to.

Looking at you lens less one, they are LED - so depending on the vintage of the bike may not be original anyway. Just be aware that LED and those with lamps may not be directly interchangeable depending on flasher unit and resistance etc. You may find that you have an in line resistor that makes the indicator flash at the correct rate if it's aftermarket LED.

They are definitely different from my indicators on my 2011 800.

The only ones I can find are LED`s, which ones do you mean that aren`t LED? Thanks in advance

Mine's a 2018. They look appear to be genuine from the other genuine listings I've seen.
I've still not replaced them yet
as I've been in hospital - non motorbike related, but I cant find any aftermarket ones I like the look of!
