Seat question

Hi all , I’ve recently bought a 2016 xrx low . It has the comfort low seat on it too , but I’ve been loaned a standard height seat off a 2015 XR to try. When fitting it - it doesn’t seem to fit flush at the front , as in there’s more of a gap between front of seat and tank , than there is with the seat it came with . It feels pretty loose too. I’m reluctant to force the seat down a bit more as it’s a loan - my question is should this standard height seat from the XR 2015 fit ? I assumed they were pretty much interchangeable. Check that you havent got the adjustment bars low on the back and High at the front
