SouthWest (UK) Fish & Chip ride - Weds 13th July

Due to rain forcing the last ride to be altered at the last minute, we're aiming to re-run it this Wednesday, 13th July.

We'll cross the border into Cornwall and try The Coddy Shack near Looe. We're planning to meet at the usual - Ten Tors Inn, Kingsteignton, TQ12 3NP - between 5:30 & 5:45pm.

I've got a route in mind that will take us down through the South Hams to Plymouth and the Torpoint Ferry. Once across the Tamar River we'll head down the coast through Portwrinkle to Looe. The route back will go further inland via Liskeard and Callington then either from Tavistock over Dartmoor or on to Brent Tor, Lydford, Okehampton and Moretonhampstead.

There's been a slight change in start location for the ride tomorrow, but the time is the same (5:30 - 5:45).

We'll be meeting at Cox of Torbay / Marldon Service Station - TQ3 1NA. A convenient spot for those who need it to fill the tank and it's more in keeping with the planned route.

Presumably various personal circumstances meant a very small turnout for this one .... just three of us (T800XC, Ming and myself). But as usual a nice mid week break and ride out. A bit more initial heavy traffic than expected from both directions to the meet point, none of us realising Paignton bike night must have restarted with dozens of bikes on the roads from all directions, but once on the Torpoint ferry we were able to leave that behind us and have a very pleasant evening ride, though from a mainly hot 27 deg start the final section of the homeward ride did rapidly drop by 10 deg from that.

As usual, thanks to T800XC for putting a route together and hopefully a few more will be available for the next one.
