Tiz a fair point about the oil ..... I just changed mine yesterday as I wasn't due a 6 or 12k service.... appreciate that not everyone can do that themselves, or would want too.
Would be nice to have that choice tho

Triumph can manage it also, just not on the Tiger900?
The Tiger1200, Tiger660, Trident660, Speed twin1200, Speed 400, etc. are all 10k mile service intervals, so what is the problem with the T900?
Is it because Triumph thinks some people are crazy enough to go trail riding on them, so will need more regular servicing? I would change the oil & filter on my trail bike every 600miles. As against 3k miles on my T800.
Current bikes Tiger800 XRx, Tiger Sport 1050, Ariel FH 650, Yam Serow 225.

Ok, you caught me. I should have been more specific. I wonder if any of the software upgrades can be used on the earlier 900’s. Maybe the ones that raised the MPG and HP.

The MPG and HP changes will be software in conjunction with the new pistons and the new exhaust amongst I'm sure other mechanical changes how can software alone do that?

Yeah ...I think the elongated zorst will also mean a few other tweeks such as ports / valves ... maybe even timing may be required along with the software ....

These bikes may have a 10k service interval, but it's 10k or annual oil change
