Are there any options for increased wind protection for the Tiger 800 XRx low?  I see Madstad windshields.  Is there anything wider or fairing lowers or???

A Givi Airflow works for me. Probably not as much protection as a Madstad, however more versatile imo.

I have a Madstad on my 16 XR - great wind protection and a huge improvement over the factory fixed screen that came on my bike.  Both Tigers I have owned I ended up simply removing the stock screen and riding without (so much buffeting) -  until I just went ahead and bought the Madstad.  Very pleased.  I bought the shorter version since I am only 5'6".

Madstad or Givi Airflow will solve your problem .... 80mph+ with Visor Up .... No problem !  :031:

Screens, tyres and seats are very personal things.

I hate the look of the Madstad screens so I had a Puig deflector on top of my OEM Triumph Touring screen on my Tiger 800 1st Gen. Worked for me although I have to say that the screen on my Tiger 900 GT Pro is better.

My main goal is to make the bike warmer in winter with a side goal of keeping rain off.  A while back I had one of the first generation Concours.  It was very warm in winter and I miss it in cold weather.

Yes the Madstat is very good, but a found adding the side deflectors made a huge difference , took a lot of the buffeting off the body.. :028:

If you have lower crash bars it's easy to fit some deflectors for the feet made from plastic sheet. I saw this on an 1150gs years ago and have fitted some to various bikes in recent years, Versys 650 & 1000, DL650 and Super Tenere although I've not got around to doing this on the XC yet as only had a it a couple of months.
Mine were just cable tied on then removed when warmer.

It is a very subjective topic, but I can say after 55k miles on my XRT with a Puig screen, it works for me..
