Looking to replace the tyres on 800 xcx

Am I right in thinking in the event of a rapid deflation in the front, it's safer to have a tubeless tyre with a tube than a tubed tyre with a tube on the xcx?
    Are the tyres constructed differently?
I'm probably going for the ContiTrailAttack 3s anyone using these on a xc?

Depends on whether the wheel can accommodate a tubeless tyre, some spoked wheels can a lot cannot, you may be able to get a special seal device make to prevent air loss from around spoke holes for tubeless.
Always consider that your alter ego may be coming the other way on the road you are on. 💥💀

I have used 3M 4411N tape to seal the rims of my T120 with new 90 degree valves. Worked absolutely fine!
Search the www for how too.

Iím not sure that the front rim of the XCX has the lip that is required to anchor a tubeless tyre. I know people do tubeless conversions as per the post above but that is something they need to take responsibility for.
I canít see anything wrong with running a tubeless tyre with a tube but I am not sure there will be a huge benefit in the event of a front tyre puncture.
