Just correcting a posting which stated that ĎOn all Tiger 800 models, one side of the horn has a switched live.í Someone in the future reading this thread might take that to be true. Sorry if you think that is irrelevant.

Good post Fazer. Factual and informative.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my query regarding a switched feed to power my sat nav.  All noted but I'm going to go for the horn live feed.  I've read somewhere that there is a switched live at the tail light, which makes sense.  Anyone like to enlighten me?

Essentially the same feed to the horn and tail light switched from the same fuse.

Thanks for that.  After watching a YouTube tutorial on wiring diagrams and finding my Haynes manual I see what you mean.  The yellow cable from the ignition switch?  Every days a learning day👍🏻.

Try this for an idea of tail light wiring layout, very easy. Obviously you could connect your satnav direct or connect a Fuzeblock or Thunderbox, etc. :028:

Bluebell yes, but not a 'wobbly head' - I was a VMA. :038:

There is a copy of the wiring diagram for Gen 2 XRT/XRA here:
