If I hadn't already bought the 800 in March '11, I'd be seriously considering a 1200 in March this year. As it is I'll take the test ride and see what I think, but I doubt it's going to impress me enough to make me take a ~£6k trade-in against a £12k bike.

Now what I really want is an "800cc XC" with 115bhp and shaft drive, total weight less than 180kg.......

Black '13 Tiger800XC. The other British Land Rover. 31000 miles and counting.

I've got to agree with you there. It put me off for a while and I bought the 1200 despite of the awful badge! I'm trying to work out how to replace it with something a lot nicer as we speak....
