XC wheels on T800?
« on: January 02, 2012, 12:22:55 PM »
I've damaged the front rim slightly on my standard T and was wondering if the XC wheels would fit mine? Thoughts?

Rear would be a straight swop. The front won't fit without changing the brake lines. Better still have the front xc hub respoked onto a 17" rim
Stupid is as stupid does.

Thank you for the advice. If getting XC brake lines is all that is necessary in fitting the 21 inch wheel, then that's not bad? I seem to be doing more off road riding on this bike than I thought I'd ever do and proberbly should have gotten the XC version. (completly broke off the side stand switch on a rock or something....it was just dangling by the cord) However, having the two wheel size options would be great as the 19 inch wheel is great in the twisters!

Slight damage? does it need replacing? can you get it repaired (dinge rolled out)

If you need to get it replaced then check with Triumph as to what (if any) other models they use the same wheel on, I got a Z750 one as a direct replacement for my Versys off eBay for 80 when I did this

Still ran it for about a fortnight like that though  :164:
