Thank you Firestarter. What a legend of a guy for motorcycling Simon was . His passion and determination is truly inspiring which makes his untimely death all the more tragic.

I first came across the charity he started , Motorcycle Outreach,  2 years ago at a Horizons Unlimited event and was fascinated by his story and what he had created. Despite being a biker for 35 years, I 'd never hear of Motocycle Outreach.

I was also struck by how his family and a few close friends had continued to keep Simon's legacy alive over the years. At this years HU event, I took a closer look at the charity and realised the significant challenges they were facing so decided to get personally involved. (I met Simon's mum and few others in Bristol in the summer and we are hoping to find ways to put the charity onto a stronger footing in the future).

If we can raise awareness of this mission and the opportunity we all have to make a difference, I am sure MoR can do more good in the world and deliver Simon's vision for a global network of worthy projects in developing countries. Its a great cause, its good PR for motorcycling and an opportunity to make a personal difference. Once I was aware of the story, as a motorcyclist, I felt compelled to help. I just hope we can get lots of others to do the same.

I would urge anyone reading this to click on the MoR link, below, and read about the Mission (the more hits the better because higher internet traffic helps attract advertisers!) Its not the best looking website in the world, but you'll get the gist (website upgrade is on the list of jobs!)

As I've mentioned at the start of this thread, each calendar sold will raise approx 1.50 for the charity.  Thank you to all those would have already indicated their intention to purchase.

or just as important, just because your relatives don't ride a Tiger or dont' have a bike doenst' mean they don't deserve a Tiger 800 calendar  :492:

Ifd you give the same 'present' to one and all then they can hardly complain its just them that didn't get what they wanted (its the whole family)

I'll just have the one calendar for work, but I suggest an option to donate a bit over the suggested min price would be an idea  :016:

I still have an XRV mug on my desk from 5-6 years ago, I've had 4 other bikes since then  :001:
