What is the Tiger Mega Meet?
« on: November 03, 2012, 08:57:24 AM »
In simple terms, its just a bunch of people going for an interesting ride out for a day and having a social meet afterwards.

Is nothing grand or flash. We just put a little effort into organising ourselves to ensure we maximise the fun over a weekend.

The emphasis for this second Mega Meet  is the same as the first one held in Lake District in May this year...ie having fun, being safe and all in relaxed, informal atmosphere.

The invitation is for all forum members and their pillions - we want to encourage female partners to join in, it makes the weekend more fun.

Whilst the focus is on Tiger 800 owners, there's no restriction on non-Tiger riders attending (although Goldwing & Harley owners may struggle with the nadgery lanes Healdem may take us down :033:).

The first Mega Meet was created as a celebration of the introduction of the Tiger 800. The concensus of opinion from those who attended the first event has prompted us to organise a repeat of the Mega Meet in 2013. Hence, we are seeing the development of the UK Tiger 800 owners "community" which is an encouraging prospect.

The one thing we all have in common is this great bike, and part of the fun of ownership is meeting other Tiger riders and , as the 2012 Mega Meet  proved, its a great bunch of people.

We already have a solid (and growing)  forum community , plus we have the beginnings of regional monthly ride outs in the UK (every 2nd Saturday). The Mega Meet is simply the May ride out , only bigger.  Its a once a year opportunity for riders from all over the country to meet up over a weekend.

For those of use who attended the first Mega Meet, it will be great to meet up again and catch up on events since our weekend in the Lakes. For those who are attending for the first time, it's a unique opportunity to enjoy an organised ride in some stunning scenery and to socialise with like-minded Tiger 800 enthusiasts.

If you've never been on a group ride before, I encourage you to take the plunge and join in the fun. The ride is safe and steady, you can go at your own pace and we use a system to ensure no-one gets lost. There's really nothing to it, and once you've been on your first one, you'll want to do it again.

Looking forward to a great weekend. Hope you can make it  :152:

(If you are interested in attending the 2013 Mega Meet, please add your name to the foot of the "attendee list" https://www.tiger800.co.uk/index.php/topic,6980.msg94521.html#msg94521 )

Most motorcyle problems are caused by the nut connecting the saddle to the handlebars..

Just this morning on the Dutch news...

Wales, covered in a thick layer of snow...
A shepard had to dig his sheep out of the snow!

Hard times for the people living in Wales...
Most motorcyle problems are caused by the nut connecting the saddle to the handlebars..
