Accomodation options
« on: November 03, 2012, 10:38:13 AM »
This thread to be used for posting accomodation options in and around Dolgellau.

Members are responsible for sorting their own accomodation over the weekend of the Mega Meet however, suggested places to stay will be posted here over the coming weeks.

If anyone has any recommendations (from previous stays) please post them here.

EDIT 4TH NOVEMBER:

PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING POSTS. LINKS ARE PROVIDED THAT LIST LOCAL ACCOMODATION OPTIONS FOR:

B & B'S

CAMPING

HOTELS & GUEST HOUSES.

WHEN CHOOSING YOUR ACCOMODATION , TRY TO BOOK SOMEWHERE IN DOLGELLAU (OR VERY CLOSE TO IT) . IT WILL MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE MINI BUS TRANSFERS TO /FROM OUR BASE AT THE RIDERS RETREAT ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY EVENINGS.

Some hotels and guesthouses in and around Dolgelau...

Some of these are in nearby towns. If possible try to stay in Dolgellau (that will make it easier for the minibus tranfers to /from our base at the Riders Retreat guesthouse in the town).

Hey Everyone,

Just had a reply back from Tiv & Nigel @ Bikers Retreat, they seem to be a bit concerned with the number of single occupancy bookings going through.

In the interest of fairness, anyone want to share a twin room before I book mine? That way we'll keep another room available for others.

Good point.

There are only 9 rooms at the Bikers Retreat. It does make more sense to have couples occupying those rooms. There are plenty of other accomodation options in and around Dolgellau. If we can heed Nigel's preference to reserve the rooms at the BR for couples from now on that would help.  (
