Cheers Jonny, and good for Admin making this a sticky.
We had a course at work, where we were asked to tighten up bolts to what we think is the correct torque. Then check it with a torque wrench.
All of us failed, most were miles out, both over and under.

 :006: Ok guys i need to buy a torque wrench one that will be ok for the lowest settings needed can anyone suggest one please a friend had offered to lend me one but it dose not go down low enough!  sorry if this is not the proper terminology  used but i am no mechanic  :006:

Halfords do a range that covers all needs - but the lower one fits 3/8 sockets if i remember correctly

Hello!

How important do you think it is to use a torque wrench? I just got some bar risers from Touratech and want to install them. Wondering if I should invest in a torque wrench to do it right..  Do most of you use one when its called for?? re. chain adjustment, etc.
