Tee shirt colours
« on: January 30, 2013, 01:22:21 PM »
OK Time to sort out the colours for the T Shorts for this years megameet

The Proposal is basically the same as last year
IE the Tigers head + text as below (although I'm not sure whether to use 'Dollgellau' by itself or 'Dolgellau, Gwynedd')
On 4 garments Short Sleeve (traditional tees shirt) or long Sleeve for both men and women

The problem
I wanted to find a different colour to last years black just to make them different
I'm struggling to find alternative colours to White and Black across all 4 garments in a good quality fabric.

The garments chose last year were "Fruit of the Loom Heavyweight"
There doesn't seem to be a lot of point embroidering onto a cheap sh*t garment.

So right now Im looking at 4 options
The same garment as last year (Black or White)
Slightly lower weight fabric from Fruit of the Loom
Slightly lower weight fabric from B&C
Slightly lower weight fabric from Anvil 185g M2, but ANVIL don't do a long sleeve womens fit shirt

if we opt for the same garment as last year Ill try and see what we can do to make it different, possibly a welsh flag on the sleeve or something similar

Note its a first past the post poll, we will not be doing some in red, some in Navy, some in.....
Im looking for expresions of preference not a fixation that say you will get a red shirt whilsdt others will get a navy...
They will all be the same colour from the same manufacturer

I'll always vote for quality, and pay an extra quid or two for it;D

Colour wise, I'm always happy with black (it is fastest, after all) but Welsh red would be good too.

You know my thoughts, but just to confirm

Recommend we stick with the successful choice of last year:

High quality t shirt (still good after several washes)
Black was the most popular colour  (goes with most things and shows off the embroidery really well
Location and date are different so no need to go to extra expense of something else

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Neutral colours always a good choice, so black or white fine with me.

Short of GringoRojo and Mrs GringoRojo registering 15 new userids (just to vote red) it looks like black it is....
