Heated Grips Problem
« on: February 25, 2013, 07:44:30 PM »
Following on from this thread, where my heated grips would only work on the low setting, I am happy to report that a complete new set of grips and switch were fitted by the dealer as a successful warranty claim.  :001:

It's not a problem. The switch internals are well sealed. I noticed similar water ingress on the first demo I tried back in 2011. You can grab the outer edge of the switch rubber and fold it back to get the water out, as I later found out.

That's great news Andylaser.

Nice to hear you're getting great Warranty Service from your chosen Dealer. After all, if the Claim is Valid they should meet the Claim in full, no questions asked.

It would be nice to know who it is though...

Cheers

I am on my second set in 30,000 miles, the throttle one fails, which is sort of understandable due to the amount of movement it has to put up with, but I had a set of Data Tag heated grips on a Honda NC 700 for 30k with no problem.
Apparently Triumph have now changed the design (July 2018)
