Swapped the front 100/90 Tourance Next for the 110/80 R version.  Only done 5 miles so not possible comment other than it feels slightly more flexible.

Only done 3k miles on the bike so far.  Front had gone down 1mm and the rear 1mm also.

Link to site that gives you comparisons between tyre sizes i.e. diameter and effect on speedo.

Why did you change with so little wear on them?

After reading the experiences of others on here and also suffering from the front tramlining so often I decided that I'd rather have a more stable front tyre on the damp slippery roads we have at the moment.  I ride mostly rural roads and I do ride them progressively.

I've kept the old front so that I can put it to use if needed.

Ok, I've not had a problem with the Tourance Next, most reports i've read say it's a vast improvement over the previous Tourance.

But if I've read it right you're still on Tourance Next, just the slight different profile?

Might possibly be useful to someone  :084: .... but not relevant to the your tyre change as the speedo signal (on post 15 models) is provided by the rear ABS sensor & ring .... so unless you change the rear tyre size the speedo will be as accurate as it was before.  :028:

Finally pulled a sickie, and got to work farkling her up. Installed a Fuzeblock under the rear tail, hardwired my GPS mount in (SW Motech behind the cluster mount) as well as a USB-fuelled x-grip, installed an Altrider rear rack, and replaced the factory handguards with Barkbusters VPS.

Givi Airflow windscreen is on the way, as well as a sidestand foot.

Yes, Ive only changed the front.  Not noticed any issues with the Nexts apart from the tramlining.

Fitted a Pyramid fender extender, a Puig rear hugger and most importantly the stainless chain adjuster bolts from Adey. All fitted reasonably easily but having dropped the rear wheel out it was a bit of a pain to get back in. Then had to get Mrs Shergar to hold the bike upright while I adjusted the chain. Top marks to her for standing there and keeping the bike remarkably steady while I fiddled about.
All set now for a ride out Sunday morning if things go to plan :001:
