My '86 Vette is hooked up to a battery tender. it sits in my garage when not being driven which is most of the time and never in winter. The battery failed this summer after 15 years. I think I got my moneys worth and I thank the tender for the longevity. :152:

Fitted my Evotech Twatnav holder and an Optimate charging tail. Whilst seat was off, I noticed an USB charging behind rear seat 😀

Isobelle is ready for a blast to Hinkley Visitor Centre for a walk round museum and bite to eat

I dropped my bike off-road by myself deep in the back country. I had to hike up a mountain to call for help. The area was sandy and it was my fault. The road was a mess from the rain. I tried to turn around on a tight trail going down hill. I laid the bike gently in the sand on a slope and could not pick it back up. No damage other then my pride. A helicopter found me and landed. They were Leary to bring the truck down the sandy hill. I had to guide the chopper to me as they could not see me. The pilot is a good guy. He helped me pick the bike up and pull it out of the sand. He was far better at this dirt sh*t then me. Anyway it was an adventure. The bike has earned its title.

Fixed the rear brake, which had Become Weak.  It remains to be determined what was wrong, since there was no visible sign of leakage, air bubbles in the system. etc., but pumping in a (very) few cc's of fresh brake fluid seems to have sorted things out.  I wrote up this experience, such as it was, in the Brakes and ABS section of The Garage.
Still trying to master the use of fire and learn how to fashion primitive stone tools
