Went on my first decent run on my Tiger 800 last Friday from my home in Hampshire to a memorial service in Barnstaple.  It was very cold that day, particularly the first part, and my feet were like blocks of ice on arrival.

The only problem was that I had gone on the wrong day!  Still, the sun was shining and after a quick coffee and burger I made the return leg of the 360 miles round trip and arrived home with feeling in my feet.

Although not having the range of heat settings as my Honda, I found the two stage heated grips adequate and with my recently fitted Madstad screen the trip was enjoyable.  The ride proved that the Tiger has the attributes of A good tourer and a worthy, and much lighter, successor to my ST1300 on which I have been touring for 14 years.

So envious of your wide open space.  Our little island is a little more densely populated!
