Had a 217 mile round trip ride to Barmouth on Thursday, Fish & chips at the Mermaid chippy followed by a rum & raisin ice cream.

The Fish & chips were top quality & fair price. The ice cream shop good but 4 squids for a 2 ball, bit heavy innit.

Decorating at home, but you can't do that when the weather was like it was yesterday, can you?

 :017:

5 hours playing around the Derbyshire Dales, Goyt Valley, Wildboarclough etc..

Some great refreshment at the Roaches cafe (shh - keep that one quiet. )

A day of sorting the fence out, then a late afternoon ride up to Castleton via Pott Shrigley and Peak Dale with a very happy 10 year old on the back.Hot Chocolate at The George iirc.
I'm much more confident taking the kids out on the tiger than I was the bonnie. It's just a better bike for the unexpected.

Well Easter Sunday was sunny, warm. Little traffic on the roads. So went out for a small local ride.nothing fancy, wanted to stay near St Clabberts. Did about 75 miles bumbling about on A roads. Rekindled my love of riding.
But after 75 miles  :125: clearly my arse needs to harden the feck up. At least it's encouraged me to think the megameet is doable :038:

However concerned that I will have to do a lot better to keep up with Bowndah (Jimmy B) and his Harley driving mate.

Rediscovered the Eildon - Jamieson Rd on Saturday. Would have been a hoot if it wasn't for the friggin traffic. (What is sooo attractive about MY side of the road to 4WDs?) Must've been around 400k day by the time I got home. Always good  to spend a day in the saddle and leave the bulls##t behind.
Cheers,
Dave
