2 year fluid change

Points of note.

1.  The brake fluid is easy.  Did find that the front reservoir screws were barely finger tight.  Used my trusty bit driver which fitted perfectly.

2.  Coolant change.  The Triumph instructions are spot on.  I flushed my system after draining, then filled slowly, stopping frequently to squeeze the hoses to release air.  Didn't have an assistant, except Paws, who just looked at me then curled up in the sun.  Dogs hur!!  So tilting the bike all the way over involved bracing against a wall and getting the hip in and low.  Helps to get air out.  All in about an hour to change then a good clean and lubrication session prior to re-assembly.

Will get a replacement radiator bleed plug as a spare.  Unless very careful it is easy to chew the cross head slots.
Tools:
A funnel, with a long spout, or a short spout and some tubing.

Did you find any difference changing the brake fluid? I changed mine after 3 yrs and it was just the same, as on other bikes too.

Looked exactly the same.  Although that's not to say it hasn't absorbed water, or just plain degraded.  Having said that the brakes were working fine prior to the change.

Good to know about the coolant change. Out of curiosity, do you have one of the early models with the bleed screw in the top radiator hose, or one of the later ones with a plain hose?

Yeah, I knew it was an old thread but I'm doing a lockdown service an my bike at present and saw "Venom Yellow Silver Framed WITH the brass bleed screw" while browsing coolant change wisdom.   I never realised the old girl was so rare

My 2012 800XC in Orange has the bleed screw....
