Recalls
« on: May 05, 2013, 07:03:03 PM »
Hi all I've had the recall letter for the indicator stem, but my bikes due for a service so I'd thought I'd wait and combine the two. What do I do about sending the letter back with a date of repair on. As i don't know when I'll reach the service point.

That's what I was thinking, but I don't when I'll reach the service date, so do I hang on to the letter then send it when I've booked it. Do these recalls have a time limit?

Don't bother doing anything with the letter, other than framing it. There's no time limit by the way.

Just give the dealer your vin number when you book the service and they will run it through the Triumph computer system which will flag the recall and any other service items/recalls that may be relevent. Just make sure you book a couple of weeks in advance so that they can order the stems.

When I phoned up about the up date they did advise sooner rather than later.... something along the lines of, unless I want the indicators dangling by their wires.

Not sure if it is urgent but the had mine fixed within 2 hours of turning up.
