RM/2011/022 engine may stall
« on: June 23, 2013, 02:20:55 AM »
Does anyone know if this applies to the US or just the UK. My dealer in the US knows nothing of this recall.

Well, it does apply to U.S. bikes -- mine was one.
Check your V.I.N.
If you bought it new, you should've gotten a letter from Triumph (if your bike is in the VIN range listed).

Yeah that's the funny thing its in the vin range 491999 and the dealers saying its not showing up on there computer and Triumph never sent me a letter. So I don't know but think I'll call Triumph and ask. As far as I can tell on the DOT site I should of gotten the recall notice.

That's probably what to do..?
I'm thinking maybe it was a dealer's demonstrator? Maybe the recall was done before they sold it to you?
In any event, you need to know if it was done.
Good luck.

Called Triumph today and they say it's already been done but the only time it's been back to the dealer was in May of 2011. The recall is suppose to be from September 2011 So since everyone is telling me it's done I'm going to agree and leave it alone.

Yup, old news, all bikes should have been sorted with a modified tune map by now  :028:
