Thanks for all the responses and well wishes. I can report that 2 days after the incident and there are not surprise injuries.

I am happy to hear that the top case and tool roll didn't contribute the accident and I was surprised to hear that diesel and rain washouts are fairly common. Now I waiting to see how my insurance company decides to classify the accident and whether or not they will blame me.

To answer the question about whether or not the bike was rideable? I honestly didn't try. The clutch handle was broken off to a stub, the left side peg was jammed up and it appeared that the rear wheel might have been knocked out of alignment. So I decided to just get it towed.

The amount of time prior to your renewal date may affect premium quotations.
The thinking being that if your getting a quote the day before your insurance runs out you are more likely to be a bit desperate and accept their first offer.
I was told that this is sometimes built in to the premium calculation algorithms.

I bought mine off of the official website for Assen end of June. No e-tickets available. Waiting for them to be posted to me a couple of weeks before the race. Dont get it why they dont offer the e ticket option

What happens if the previous month they had had an unusually large amount of claims? Surely in the world you suggest that would increase premiums at tge beginning of the next month to compensate,

Was recommended to get insurance quotes at the beginning of the month as the price can also be effected by the liability of the insurance company, the more people taken on in a months increases the companys liability so they up the rates to off set the risk by having more people... beginning of the month all starts again...
