Title: Engine stalling when I pull the clutch lever
Post by: tomf90 on April 09, 2019, 02:04:39 AM
If I'm coming towards a busy roundabout or about to turn into a road, my 800xc stalls when I pull the clutch lever in to drop into 2nd gear and come off the throttle... it goes whole rides without doing it and then the next ride it does it everytime so I can't determine why but when it happens when i'm taking a bend it shits me right up... do any of you know why it's happening and what I can do to stop it.

Could be a sticking stepper motor,  it a well documented fault,  there loads of threads on this forum

I had same issue with my 2015 xcx.
Went in several times and triumph said theyd never heard of it before.
They did a software update and problem went away.
I nearly dropped the bike several times though, so feel your pain

what year is your bike, there's a few instances of this happening, (mine included) but all are on 2018 bikes
