Title: Arrow Can Tiger 900gtpro
Post by: fastnfat on August 31, 2020, 06:05:20 PM
Was wondering if anyone had ordered an Arrow can for their 900. I ordered one back in May and was told it would be with me at the beginning of August but still no sight of it yet! Just had a look on Triumphs configurator and itís been removed from that so not sure whatís happening.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Thanks

None have turned up in Australia as far as I can tell. Some other US spec mufflers, mostly V&H for Classics, have now been discontinued. Looks like anything with a removable bafffle might be at risk. As for the Arrows, theyíre still showing in the parts file, including the US spec, and is still in the configuration here (although the Euro spec has gone), so you never know. Iíd be hopeful but resist being too optimistic.

Iíd noticed the same, was tempted to add the Arrow can while I wait for delivery but the option has gone. Going in past my local dealer tomorrow so will ask and see if they can cast any light on the matter. Arrow can for the 1200 Scrambler still an option.

Seems strange.

Yes, Iíll be doing the same in the next couple of days to see if they have any information. I fear that they may not be offering the Arrow can though🤨

Ordered one with my Rally Pro, and was informed that it will be December before we see them, so just left it on order, and see what happens

December is better news than I can get. When I asked my Dealer he just laughed. Itís still on order though.

Got word today it will be here ďin the next 2 weeksĒ. Given I only got my headlight protector today, which was ordered in April, Iíll believe it when I see it. But Iím hopeful.

There's a chap over on Advrider who now has one for his 900. This is in the USA but maybe deliveries are starting to happen.

I went into my triumph dealer last saturday to enquire on any updates to delivery of the arrow can, and they told me that they think there is a problem between arrow and triumph, and they dont think that there will be any supply of the exhausts any time soon :003: :003:

I'v seen Arrow can pictures, but not from Europe (Asia, US). I think, there may be some EURO5 or noise regulation involved.

Word today from the accessories manager at Triumph Australia is that I shouldnít expect to see one in this country until February. Sigh.  No point complaining about it; Iím determined to view it as delayed gratification and look forward all the more to getting it. Good thing the stock exhaust sounds so good.

Iím more tempted to see what the usual suspects in the after market end can business come up with. There will likely be a reasonable spread of looks v price v sound.

If there are any offerings in the meantime I may well go that way too.

That's me  :001: I put together a couple more clips showing the sound--I personally love the Arrow can and think it sounds great.

Love the sound. If and when I can get a arrow can would I need to get the bike remapped ? On the 1200 it wasnít necessary.

If like the 800 there are standard and arrow tunes then you can remap. But also like the 800 not necessary as Arrow on the 800 worked fine with the standard tune.

I didn't. I'm pretty sure that's not an option in the free state of California.. not legally anyways.

No remap needed and there isnít a dedicated Arrow tune any more. As with all the water cooled twins, the ECU is self learning and will adapt to relatively minor changes like a replacement muffler with just around 10 minutes of riding.

Given the long wait I was facing, not to mention the risk that mufflers with removable baffles might actually be axed and not arrive at all, I decided to contact Cascade Moto. They had 2 left so Iíve ordered one of those and cancelled my order here. Shipped cost from Oregon is roughly the same as it was going to cost me here and I should have it in a week or so. Thanks for posting 23103a.

6 days after ordering from Cascade Moto, Oregon, the Arrow arrived in sunny Canberra today and was on the bike within 30 minutes. With exchange rates/fees and shipping it did cost me about $30 more than it was going to cost here but worth it. I wasnít going to enjoy waiting until Feb and then thereís possibility it might never arrive. Sounds great in the garage. Now for a ďtestĒ ride.

And I should emphasise the great service and excellent communication from Cascade Moto.
Worth keeping them in mind no matter where in the world you are.

Yours has a slightly different end baffle, the one I got here in the US is just completely open at the end. I wonder if there's anything different inside.

Probably, weíre still subject to EU rules so the db killer canít be removed😡

Both are available here (in theory only) so I made sure Iíd ordered the US Spec. The one I ended up getting from Oregon is naturally US Spec. No removable baffle but open at the end.

Went into my local dealers today, and low and behold, I was presented with my ordered Arrow can! Easy to fit, and a nice sound on the overrun to boot. Very pleased!!

I think the stock exhaust looks pretty good but the arrow can certainly enhances it further. Due to the excessive noise, I no longer fit after market cans. Motorway riding even with plugs in doesnít block that constant growl out which over time begins to spoil the ride IMHO.

While you can certainly hear the Arrow when accelerating, it doesnít have that drone when cruising. Makes a solid case for choosing accessories specifically developed for the bike and Iím very happy I have it fitted.
