Need some help here...
I am working on a build and am using the rear wheel from a Tiger 800XC (Years: 2011 - 2019).
The swing arm on the bike is wider than the swing arm of the Tiger so I need to make some new spacers.
To my question... what is the OD of the spacers on the Tiger 800XC?
I need to the dimensions to make sure the spacers seal correctly against the bearings in the wheel.
Any help you can provide would be great!!
Best,
Adam

Hi Adam
2016 xcx has a 28mm OD. If you have a good look on the oil seal you should be able find a reference number to look up the spec for the seal.
Hope that helps

Thanks for the quick response!
I took a quick measurement last night and it looks like something around 35 mm.
Does that sound right?
Assuming to OD would be different based off of the wheel right?

its a top hat shape the "brim" is 34mm, the part into the seal is 28mm
this is the rear wheel

So the Silver part on the right is 34/35 mm and the black piece is 34 mm on the left and 28 mm in the middle... correct?

the silver part may be part of the spacer inside between the bearings?
see attached picture of what i measured

The silver part is the left hand spacer between the sprocket carrier and the swingarm, 35mm o/d

Got that... what's the OD of the right hand spacer?
Something like 28 mm?

I've got the two original outer spacers on the desk, having replaced them with VFR Pauls Titanium ones.
The Chain side, straight spacer has an OD of 34.92mm so nominal 35mm, and the other, mushroom shaped one for the brake side is 28mm OD at the oil seal position
Both have an ID of 20.1-20.2mm
